BODE FREDERICK W., Jr., M.D. Of Vero Beach, FL, and formerly of Churchill, PA died of natural causes on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in Cape Coral, FL. Born on September 23, 1922, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Anna (Hammond) Bode; his wife, Helen Baxter Bode; his second wife, Lori Hosford Turner Bode; and his sister, Marjorie Bode Dunsford; and is survived by five children, Joanne Bode Perry of Washington, D.C., Ann Bode Biddison (Mark) of Cape Coral, FL, Frederick W. Bode III (Leslie) of Upper St. Clair, PA, Thomas C. Bode (Ruth-Ann) of Louisville, KY, and C. Baxter Bode (Susan) of Winter Park, FL; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Dr. Bode was a Captain in the Army and a veteran of the Korean war and while in Pittsburgh served as a member of the Churchill Volunteer Fire Department. He graduated from Shadyside Academy, attended UVA and the Jefferson Medical College. A memorial service for family and friends will be scheduled at St. John Fisher Church, Father Gentile presiding.
