BICKERTON FREDERICK JOSEPH, Sr. Age 88, of Finleyville, PA, beloved husband of 67 years to Mary Lou (Jones); loving father of Fred, Jr., Barbara (Ken) Uziel, Charles (Penny), the late Kathy Warren, survived by John, Beth (Gerald Jay) Biagini, Alan (Joyce); grandfather of 13; and great- grandfather of ten; son of the late Robert and Genevieve Bickerton; brother of the late Genevieve Dahl, the late Myrna Pepke and the late Robert Bickerton; also survived by in-laws, James and Edith Halt; and many nieces and nephews. Served in the Navy during World War II. Worked for Conrail (Pennsylvania, Penn Central railroad), retiring in 1989. Member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #377. He was a great family man enjoying gardening, hunting and the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful nurses, aides and staff at Mt. Vernon of South Park for their care. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
