ELLAMAE BURRELL THOMAS Ellamae (Burrell) Thomas received her heavenly wings on the Lord's day, Sunday, June 14, 2020, in her home. Loving mother of William (Georgia), Marsha, and Michael (Jaclyn). Cherished Grandma Ella to Surriane, Surron, and great-grandchildren to Rae'Nil, Ranya, Surron, and Sion. Sister to Janice, William (deceased), Terry, Helena (Duane), Myrna (late husband Will), and Diane. Ellamae is also survived by her beloved numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomas graduated from Chatham College for Women. In her professional endeavors, she worked primarily for the Allegheny County Department of Aging as a case aide, where she coordinated direct services for hundredsof senior residents throughout the region until her retirement in 2019. However, it could also be said that the hallmark of Ellamae's life, in addition to her fervent love of family and friends, was her complete devotion to her Church community where shewas a longtime active member of The Word of God Parish, formerly St. Anselm's Church, and a proud member of the Ladies of Charity. She was an avid traveler and loved to line dance. A viewing for friends and family will be held on Monday, June 22, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the THOMAS L.
