JEANNE FRANCES CONNOLLY (EHRGOTT) Jeanne Frances Connolly, age 94, of Munhall, PA, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020. Jeanne was born in Pittsburgh on July 9, 1925, to Mildred Ann (Busch) and Charles Edward Ehrgott. In 1940, at age 15, she graduated from McKeesport High School. She married Ira Connolly in 1946, soon after he returned from war, and they built a house in Pittsburgh's 31st Ward and started a family. After many years as a homemaker, Jeanne started a business, The Gift Box, in Munhall in the late 60's, and later worked as a legal secretary for an advertising agency in Pittsburgh. In addition to being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jeanne will be remembered for her exceptional intelligence, wit, and humor. She enjoyed living at St. Therese Plaza, spending time with her family, playing Scrabble, reading mysteries, working on jigsaw puzzles, and until just the past few months, completing the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzles in ink. She possessed remarkable common sense and kept her mind active and engaged throughout her life. A long-time parishioner of Saint Therese of Lisieux Church, Jeanne lived her faith by being kind, generous and charitable. She always tried to do the right thing in any circumstance, and set this example for her children. Her greatest desire was for each of her children and grandchildren to pursue education and to have success and happiness in life. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Marvin Connolly; son, Boyd (Jacki survives) Connolly; and brother, Charles Edward Ehrgott, Jr. Surviving children are Gary (Lorraine) Connolly of Kennedy Twp., Lisa (Douglas) Connolly Long of Oakland, and Jill (Conrad) Galvan of Garland, Texas. Jeanne is also survived by grandchildren, Stacey (Steve) Gregory, Ross Galvan, Carissa (Nicholas) Crews, and Cassidy Galvan; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Grant and Connor Gregory, and Ross, Jr. and Elena Galvan; nieces, Michelle Ehrgott Rendleman and Anna Lee (Dave) Clemens; and nephew, Mitchell (Patty) Ehrgott. At Jeanne's request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 29, 10 a.m., at St. Therese Church, Munhall. Please meet at Church.
