SCHRAEDER WILLIAM J. Resident of Munhall all his life, William passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Good Friday morning, April 14, 2017, at the age of 76. He was a born again Christian who received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Born on January 8, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late William and Mary Schraeder. Survived by his sister-in-law and caretaker, Terry Schraeder; beloved great-uncle of Sara and Cameron Cramer; cousin of Mary Jane and Bob Oster and family, Joey and Joanie Rubinchak, Ray Rubinchak and family in Virginia, Albert Rubinchak and family in Plum Boro and an aunt, Relda Rubinchak and family in Bermuda. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Schraeder; and his only niece, Leeann Cramer. William worked for Westinghouse Research and Development as an electrician in Churchill Boro from 1974 and retired in 1996. He was a Military Police in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an operator of Ham radios and also was on air at WAMO Radio; friend of the late Porky Chedwick. William was a music aficionado and a train enthusiast. He loved to go with his friends to Dayton, Ohio for flea markets. He loved to cook and also loved to eat! He was very generous with the giving of his time to family, friends and neighbors who needed help with electrical situations or problems. He loved dogs dearly, and sadly lost his best pal, Penny, a year ago. Her cremains will be buried with him. William had many friends in a variety of areas and he will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS - WASIK - GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Friday 1-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, (time later) at the funeral home.
