CASAMASSA SHIRLEY ANN Of Whitehall, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2015. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1931. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 19 years, John James Casamassa. Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Shauna Marie (Ernest) D'Alessandro, Suzanne (Daniel) Haines; son, John Joseph (Abigail) Casamassa; her 12 grandchildren, Brandon (Rachel), Chelsea (Michael), Kylie (Matthew), Jon, Mitchell, Maura, John, Michael, Catherine, Isabel, Robert, and Mary; sister, Yvonne Lepiane; great-granddaughters, Adriana and Giada. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Alphonse and Alice (Seddon) Youngfleisch; and sister, Alice Rauch. She retired as a secretary at Cutler- Hammer, formerly Westinghouse. After retirement, Shirley was an active volunteer at the Pregnancy Resource Center of the South Hills and was an advocate for the unborn. She cherished her Catholic faith and as a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, Shirley coordinated and ran the Annual Baby Bottle Campaign, attended 10 a.m. daily Mass, was a member of Christian Mothers and made Rosary Bead Sets for the Church. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 1, 2015, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, October 2, 2015, 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. BARTOLAC STEVEN R. “STEVE” On Sunday, September 27, 2015, age 90, of Mars, husband of Virginia "Ginny" Smithman Bartolac, who he married on March 7, 1953. Father of Gini Lee Bartolac of Ft. Pierce, FL and Susan Bartolac of Mars; grandfather of Steven Yeager of Ft. Pierce, FL; and great-grandfather of Samantha and Cora Yeager. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Born in Ambridge, PA on June 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen Chicora Bartolac. Steve was an insurance broker and partner in Kerr Bartolac, Inc. He had also been part owner of the Economy Cemetery Association. A member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, Steve was a Charter Member and Past President of the Rich-Mar Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WW II and had been a member of the VFW in Ambridge and at one time was active in Masonic Organizations in Pittsburgh. She was born March 6, 1927, Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Earl and Bernadene (Boden) Northey. Mrs. Underwood was a homemaker and a member of Oakdale U.P. Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking, taking care of her children and grandchildren, gardening, sewing and watching birds. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, William C. Underwood, Jr., children, Barbara (Walt) Smith of Cranberry Twp., Tim (Lisa Davey) Underwood of Robinson, Terri (Tony) Lekay of FL, William (Sue) Underwood of Springdale, PA; sister, Delores Sinicrope of AZ. She was born in Washington, PA on November 24, 1924 to the late Thomas and Madelena (Grande) Mancuso. On August 9, 2009, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Lucian Lucero. Cherished mother of Mark Lucero of Pittsburgh; loving grandmother of Matthew and Kristen; sister of the late Esther, Mary, Rose and Lena. Neva was a member of St. Joseph Church where she was a Christian Mother. For years, she had worked as a facilities assigner for Bell Telephone and was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers. CAMPBELL SHELDON S. “DON” After spending the day with his family, Sheldon "Don" Seymour Campbell, 83, died peacefully in his sleep, on Monday, September 28, 2015. Born April 7,1932, in Pittsburgh, PA, he is preceded in death by his parents, William T. Campbell and Estelle White Campbell; his brother, William T. Campbell II; and his sister, Elaine Estelle Campbell. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Roberta "Buncie" Douds Campbell; sons, David Edward Campbell and Erich Thomas Campbell; daughters-in-law Torie A. Campbell and Kristen D. Campbell; and grandchildren, Brodie A. Campbell, Liam V. Campbell and Chelsey N. Campbell; he is also survived by nieces, Rear Admiral Elaine C. Wagner (Greg) and Dr. Janet C. Clark (Murray); nephews, Dr. William T. Campbell III (Lori) and Dr. Andrew C. Campbell (Heidi), and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Don graduated from Oliver High School in 1950. He attended Muskingum University and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He earned a Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a Supervisory Certificate from Duquesne University. He studied in Heidelberg, Germany and received a Master's degree in German from a National Defense Education Act (NDEA) year grant. Don taught at three NDEA summer institutes and was one of 25 German teachers selected by the U.S. Government to study Germany in the Common Market. Don began his teaching career in Greensburg, PA in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, including 18 months as an aide to General Melnyk in Karlsruhe, Germany. In 1959, he accepted a teaching position in Mt. Lebanon School District as a high school German teacher. In 1968, he became Coordinator of the Foreign Language Department, a position he held until he retired in 1997. During this time, he taught German, supervised his department, and was Vice Principal of the Jr. High School for five years. Don began Mt. Lebanon's German exchange program with a private high school, Stiftisches Gymnasium, in Duren, Germany. The program is currently in its 33rd year. After retirement, Don was elected to and served on the Mt. Lebanon School Board for 4 years. Don was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and a member of the Board of Trustees and sang in the Chancel Choir for 53 years. He was also a member, officer, and former teacher of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015, and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Rd., Mt. Lebanon. STULL JACK W. Age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Boquet with his loving family at his side. He was born December 5, 1948, in Kittanning, PA. He was preceded in death by the late Jack and Shirley (Heilman) Stull and Theresa (Holt) Stull. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Connie (Riznow) Stull; children, Sean Stull (Anita) of Jeannette, Maggie (Anthony) Drezewski Washington, PA, Wayne (Gabrielle) Stull of Penn Twp., Matthew Stull of Boquet and Jackie (Shawn) Gasior of Boquet; grandchildren, Cameron, Abigail, Katherine, Stephanie, Wesley, Willow, Haley, Cassidy and Isabella; a brother, Wade (Barbara) Stull of Pittsburgh, Joanne Stull of Kittanning; nieces, Shana (Frank) Fabian and Erika; and nephews, Wade, Leroy (Kathleen) Detman of Salina, Dennis (Kathleen) Riznow of Bethel Park. Through the years he made some amazing lifelong friends, Jim Peterson, Fred Gilberson, Fred Cravner and many more. Jack attended Kittanning High School where he played football. Jack went on to play football at Beloit College where he graduated with a degree in Philosophy. He had a love for blacksmithing, working outside, gardening and sharing stories with family and friends. Jack would always say that his greatest accomplishment was his family. He fought a courageous two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer and always lived life to the fullest. Upon the family's request there will be no visitation. Jack wished to gift his body to science through the Humanity Gifts Registry. A Memorial and Remembrance Gathering to celebrate Jack's life will be held at a later date. Born June 17, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Regis V. and Margaret Malady Clark. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Clark enjoyed golf and travel. He received his BS Degree from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and was a retired accountant. He was a member of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Midge was born in Duluth, MN on September 15, 1965, to Virginia (Peterson) McPhail of Powell, OH and the late Robert McPhail. Beloved wife and best friend for 11 years to Jimmie L. Burks; loving mother of James Petraglia of Moon Township, Sam Petraglia of Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA, Jordan Burks of Moon Township and Jada Burks at home; sister of Sally O'Donnell (Brian) of Boston, MA, Jody Fries (Tom) of Dublin, OH and Benji McPhail (Laurie) of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law of Ethel Burks of Canton, OH and the late Jimmie Burks; sister-in-law of Jeff Burks (Kellie) of Canton, OH; aunt of Katherine, Julia, Matthew, and Allyson Fries, Jalynn Burks and Ashley Edwards (Arthur). Midge was a graduate of Boulder High School, Boulder, CO and of The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. As an undergraduate, she excelled as part of the Women's Varsity Rowing Team for The Ohio State University. After graduation, her career in rowing continued when she was hired as the Women's Varsity Novice Rowing Coach at OSU. Robert Morris University then hired her as Head Coach of The Women's Rowing Team where she has served for the past ten seasons. More than a coach, she was loved by all the classes of girls on her rowing team, cheering them on, mentoring and supporting them not only on the water but also in life. She touched countless lives and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Discovery Church, U.S. Rowing Association and Women's Coaching Academy. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Robert Morris University, Rogal Family Chapel, 6001 University Blvd., Moon Twp., PA 15108. Sangelo; loving father of Joseph E. Sangelo (fiancée Michelle “Boop” Beddard), Donald (Michele) Sangelo and Julie (Robert) Bright; dear brother of Catherine (Dwain) Painter; brother-in-law of Kathleen (Steve) Hregdovic, Edward (Linda) Hart and William (Linda) Hart; proud grandfather of Joseph Grossi-Sangelo, D.J., Nicholas and Arianna Sangelo and Jacalyn, Emily and Matthew Bright; also survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Carol Storer. Joe was a purchasing and receiving manager for most of his career and retired at the age of 70. He enjoyed gardening, sports and traveling.
