CHESTER JOSEPH KLINE, SR. Age 86, of Hampton Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Joan Kline. Chester was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy L. (Don Bertok) Perestock; sons, Joseph E. (Diana) Kline, II, David R. (Kim) Kline, Chester J. (Gail) Kline, Jr., Daniel E. (Lisa) Kline, James M. (Tracy) Kline; grandchildren, Michael (Corinne) Perestock, Jennifer (Nathan) Roberts, Ryan (Liz) Perestock, Daniel (Jessica) Perestock, Joseph Kline, III, Matthew (Ariel), David, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Keegan, Daniel and Patrick (Jenna) Kline; great-grandchildren, Ella and Gavin Perestock, Victoria Roberts, Joanna Perestock and Evelyn Perestock; sister, Shirley Conley; sister-in-law, Diane Gallagher and Margaret Ann Kline; and many nieces and nephews. Chester was the son of the late Joseph E. and Pearl (Stuver) Kline. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Joan Marie and his siblings, Roland, Joyce Adler, Crystle Reight, and Edwin Kline. Chester was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He married Shirley Joan Reed on February 13, 1954. He was the Chief of Police for Hampton Township and served on the police department from 1960 until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of FOP Lodge 91; PA Chiefs of Police, International Chiefs Association, W. PA Chiefs of Police Association, and North Hills Boro Chiefs of Police Association. He also belonged to the American Legion, NRA and USO and was a member of St. Ursula and St. Mary Parishes. Chester loved spending time with his wife and children and was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed family gatherings and vacations, boating, fishing, and playing with grand dog, Chocco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 29th at St. Ursula Church, 3937 Kirk Avenue in Allison Park, PA with Father Garrett Dorsey officiating. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Nellis; beloved mother of Francis (Frank) Nellis; James (Jim) Nellis, husband of Christian Hinze; Margaret (Maggie) Donley, wife of Bill; Catherine (Kate) White, widow of Tom; proud and loving grandmother of Emma, Will, and Peter Donley; Eleanora (Nora) White; Guthrie Renwick; devoted sister of Marydee Heim (Jack); Larry Schlanger (Patty); and John Schlanger (Patty); sister of the late and loved Frank, Charles (Chubb and Peggy), Bill (Mary) and Michael Schlanger. Rosemarie was born and raised in her family home on Perrysville Avenue. Rosemarie attended Annunciation Grade School and Annunciation High School for girls where she played on the women's basketball team.After high school, Rosemarie worked at American Standard Company. Rosemarie performed in the Passion Play at St. Michael's on the South Side and with the Jewish Theatre Guild. Rosemarie also performed in many productions at the Pittsburgh Playhouse where she meet her husband, Bob. They raised their family in Penn Hills and spent the last 20 years in Regent Square. Rosemarie was a devout Catholic and member of Word of God Parish (St. Anselm). Rosemarie worked at Carnegie Mellon University as an Executive Assistant to the head of the Painting and Sculpture Department and the head of the Music Department. Rosemarie volunteered as a docent at the Heinz History Center and was active in the Edgewood Toastmasters Club. Family will welcome friends at the THOMAS L. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Panama. Melvin was retired from Dravo Hastings HVAC Co. Melvin was a member of Toastmasters International, liked to travel, hunt, fish and work in his cabin. BEVERLY ANN (NELSEN) JUDGE On Monday, August 26, 2019, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 79 after a long battle with dementia. Beverly was born on November 30, 1939 in New York, NY to Louise and Gunnar Nelsen. On June 18, 1960 she married Newell Charles Judge in Scranton, PA. Together they raised four children, Louise, Newell, Jr. (Chuck), Nelsen and Mary. Beverly worked as an account manager for the Make a Wish Foundation in Pittsburgh for many years and worked for the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation as well. Beverly enjoyed singing in the church choir and spending time with family and friends, especially her best friend, Nancy Zimmerman. She was best known for her smile, kind and compassionate spirit and most notably, her sass. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Gunnar Nelsen; her son, Newell Judge, Jr. (Chuck); and grandson, Michael Tyler Lukan. FRANCIS J. CARICATO Age 77 of Valencia, formerly of Glenshaw passed away suddenly in his home on Monday, August 26, 2019. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce of 55 years and was a devoted caregiver during her long battle with cancer. He is survived by his children Lori (Michael) Hinson, Joseph (Tracy) Caricato, and Brian (Joanne) Caricato. Proud grandfather of Ashley (David) Dobrodziej, Alyssa (Eric) van Schaik, Abigail Hinson, Tyler, Chase, Juliana, and Anton Caricato. Frank is also survived by his brother Anthony Caricato of Nevada.Frank was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He graduated from Central Catholic High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a Masters from the University of Pittsburgh. He had a life-long passion for sports and enjoyed supporting all of his Pittsburgh teams. As a young boy, Frank pitched in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA and later pitched four years at Duquesne University. Frank was a prayerful and faithful man, serving over fifteen years with St. Vincent de Paul Society and as a lector at both St. Mary's of Glenshaw and St. Richard of Gibsonia. He also served as a volunteer of the Lamb's Supper Ministry at St. Richard which helps to feed Pittsburgh's homeless community. Frank was a dedicated employee of Westinghouse for over 40 years. After retirement, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as improving his handicap on the golf course. Throughout his life, Frank loved to share his joy, laughter and optimism with those around him. He was a volunteer and coach with the Braddock-North Braddock Little League for over 50 years. For over 30 years, Harry volunteered and coached with the North Braddock "Mighty Mites" Youth Football program. And for 31 years, Harry served as an usher with Good Shepherd Church in Braddock. Loving wife of Francis (Frank) Holby; mother of the late Michelle, Eric (Mychele), Bryan (Jennifer); grandmother of Sean, Kai, Megan, Owen, Mena, and Aria; sister of Elizabeth (Betty) Ritson (Albert deceased), Theresa Hankin (Paul), Charles (Chuck) Makrucki (Holly), Daniel (Dan) Makrucki (Frannie); daughter of Charles and Josephine Makrucki (both deceased). She was devoted to her family and in her own loving ways, she made us who we are today. We will all miss her generous love.
