COTTER JOHN F. “JACK” Of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Monroeville, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Lois (Mogus) Cotter, whom he married on August 29, 1953. Lois passed away on Nov. 25, 1990. He is survived by his children, Diane Cotter and her husband, Timothy Monroe of Gouverneur, NY, Joyce Cotter of Plum Boro, PA, Paul Cotter of Houston, TX, Timothy Cotter of Irwin, PA, Michael and his wife, Donna Cotter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Edward Cotter of Monroeville, PA, Karen and her husband, Christopher Bennett of Milford, DE and Joseph and his wife, Stefany Cotter of Vienna, VA; nine grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his brother, Robert Cotter; and his sister, Beatrice Holmes. He retired from Kraft Foods, where he had worked in sales. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren with her 19th on the way; her sisters-in-law, Kathy and Karen Hayes; her best friend and "sister", Pat Watso; and many nieces and nephews. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spending time at the lake and traveling. HUDAK EDWARD WALTER Of Coatesville, PA, formerly of West Mifflin and Homestead, on April 6, 2016, age 94. Born in Butler, PA, to the late John and Susan (Sabo) Hudak. Beloved husband to the late Margaret (Say) Hudak and Loretta (Hornyak) Hudak; loving father of Janet (Roger) Haines; stepfather of Dave (Kitty) Hornyak, Kathy (John) Cligan and Jim (Kathy) Hornyak; grandfather of Steven (Kori) Haines, Margaret “Maggie” Haines; step- grandfather of six; great-grandfather of Emilia Haines; and step-great- grandfather of five. Edward proudly served in the Army during WWII, where he was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was retired from Mesta Machine Co., and was a former President of the Lions Club, a member of the Elks Club, the VFW and the Order of the Purple Heart. Edward was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Homestead. KUTZER KENNETH B., Sr. Loving husband, devoted father and grandfather passed away at Passavant Hospital surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the age of 77. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L. and Clara Wissner Kutzer; brother, Thomas G. Kutzer; and nephews, Thomas and James Kutzer. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Madeline Zappa Kutzer. They were married at St. Lawrence O'Toole Parish in Lawrenceville. Kenneth is lovingly remembered by his children, Kenneth (Melinda) Kutzer, Krisanne (Blynn) Shideler and Michael (Melissa) Kutzer; and his grandchildren, Ken and Ryan Kutzer, Lauren, Blynn and Katie Shideler and Logan, Luke and Lydia Kutzer. Kenneth graduated from North Catholic High School in 1957 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology and a Law Degree from Duquesne University. He was a veteran of the Air National Guard. He served his parish, St. Mary of the Assumption, as a lector for over 20 years. RUDY GEORGE H. Age 89, of Coal Center, PA passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, in the Donnell House, Washington, PA. He was born March 31, 1927, in Hazel Kirk, PA, a son of the late Michael and Julia Seamen Rudy, Sr. Mr. Rudy was a graduate of West Pike Run High School and DeVry Technical Institute. Mr. Rudy was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. For his service he was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and WWII Victory Medal. He served on the USS Gordonia in the Pacific Theater. He was employed by the Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation where he developed the Mechanic Training Program at the Vesta #5 Mine. Following his retirement, he taught mining maintenance for the Republic Steel Corporation. Mr. Rudy was a member of the United Miner Workers of America and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Post 377, California, PA. He loved his wife's Italian cooking and cherished their life together. Mr. Rudy instilled in his children his strong work ethic, loyalty to his country and his love of cars and animals. Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years, Louise; son, Robert Rudy (Diane) of McMurray, PA; daughter, Diana Hopfinger (Anthony) of Mt. Lebanon, PA; two grandsons, Matthew Maund and Daniel Rudy; one great- granddaughter, Keely Josey (Lynn); one great-great- granddaughter, Ivory Grace Josey; two brothers, Andrew and Paul Rudy; one sister, Helen Wayland; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are three brothers, Michael, Joseph and John; three grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole and Brian; beloved hunting Beagle, Honey Boy.
