Beloved loved son of the late William and Ann Oskin; beloved father of Tyler Oskin; loving brother of Debralee (Stephen) Sabol, Peggy (Dennis) Greenaway, Karen Marchitello, Kathy Mink, and Stephen D. Oskin; uncle of Stephen (Shannon) Sabol, Pamela (Kevin) Thornton, Dennis (Kelly) Greenaway, Angelica (Dale) Wilson, Lisa (Scott) Gettins, Jeremy Mink, Kayla Mink (Rhett); great- uncle of Kaedan Sabol, Josh and Jake Thornton, Shane, Tanner and Tatum Greenaway, and Emma and Asher Wilson. SPILLER ROBERT J. “BOB” Robert J. "Bob" Spiller, age 71, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017, in the Washington Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 2, 1945, in Houston to James J. and Anna M. Carestia Spiller who preceded him in death. Mr. Spiller lived most of his life in Houston. On February 7, 2006, he married Paulette Schade who survives. Robert was elected President of the Iron Workers Local No. 3 in 1984 and in 1985 became Financial Secretary Treasurer. He was appointed in 1994 as General Organizer to service the Eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia area, International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers. He was appointed in 2000 as Ninth General Vice President and retired in 2008 as First General Vice President, Iron Workers International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers. Robert was honored by the Italian Heritage Society of America as an honoree in 1992. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Regis) McClelland and Robin (Fred) Grove; three grandchildren, Liam, Liv and Evan McClelland; two stepchildren, Brande (Jeff) Searson and Michael Schade; two step-grandchildren, Libby and Will Searson; a sister, Helen (Randy) Mathura; and his beloved pet Yorkie, Benny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannie Spiller who passed away in 1996; and his sister, Marlyn Presto. JONES STANLEY Age 76, of Washington, PA, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. He was the son of the late Harold and Hilda Jones of Cwmbran, Wales; and brother to the late Colin (Gill) Jones and the late Julie (Harry) Hull. He was the beloved husband of over 50 years to Jill Shapcott Jones; loving father of two daughters, Rachel (Philip) Jones Deluce and Meredith (John) Cotis; and cherished grandfather to Charles “Charlie” Rhys Cotis. Always up for adventure, Stanley and his wife moved to Pittsburgh from London, England to raise their family. He enjoyed travel, reading, sports and happy times spent with family and friends. He had a zest for life, a clever wit and an optimistic spirit that will be sadly missed. The last task he placed on every to-do list was "Have a jolly good time!" He had a jolly good life. POGGI Dr. ALFRED JOSEPH, Jr. Age 74, of Somerset, died April 10, 2017, at Somerset Hospice House. Born May 4, 1942, in Bronx, New York, son of Alfred Joseph and Olga (Callegari) Poggi. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (Seibert) Poggi; and brother, Richard Poggi. Survived by children, Michelle A. Ervin and husband, Edward, Annapolis, MD, Michael A. Poggi and wife, Elizabeth (Jones), Mt. Lebanon, and Christopher S. Poggi and wife, Rebecca L. (Kemp), Somerset; grandchildren, Harry, Freddie, John, and Louise; and granddogs, Winston and Caleb. Dr. Poggi was a graduate of St. John's University, Jamaica, NY, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He dedicated his life to helping others as a family physician in private practice locally for nearly 50 years. He was a member of American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He was also a former board member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and former chief of staff at Somerset Hospital. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at HAUGER - ZEIGLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 494 W. GRASSER LIESELOTTE A longtime resident of Wilkinsburg and Churchill, age 100, on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Lieselotte immigrated to the United States from Germany when she was 12 years old. She was a career retail sales associate at the former department stores, The Famous in Braddock, Joseph Horne and Lazarus in Monroeville Mall. Lieselotte was a longtime member of the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her cousin and caregiver, Eleanor Anker and Eleanor's family. Born on October 9, 1934, in Burgettstown, PA she had been a resident of Charlotte County for 18 years coming from Pittsburgh. A loving wife, mother and homemaker for her family, she was an avid reader who loved crossword puzzles. A member of WOW (Women of Windward), she was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Survivors include her loving husband, of 59 years, John V. Milantoni; two daughters, Mary (Michael) Felix and Lauren Milantoni; two sons, Mark D. and Matthew (Anna) Milantoni; and six grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 5265 Placida Road, Englewood. AMATO MILDRED J. Age 94, of Edgeworth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 14, 1922, in Clearfield, PA, to the late Otto and Ruth Lansbury Shaw. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Sewickley. Millie was known for her great cooking and baking. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid animal lover. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, were her husband, James J. Amato; and a sister, Claire Kopp. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Lynee Amato of Edgeworth; three daughters, Ruth and Gary Werb of Ben Avon, Jenny and James DeGori, and Donna Amato, all of Edgeworth; seven grandchildren, James L. YORDY IRWIN CONRAD Irwin, age 93, of Oakdale, died Monday, April 10, 2017, in Victoria Manor, Oakdale. He was born June 23, 1923, in Carnegie, a son of the late Elmer and Alice White Yordy. Mr. Yordy was a member of Carnegie United Methodist Church. He was an engineer with Conrail for over 30 years. Surviving are his children, Connie (Erich) Rudolph of Hanover, PA, Linda Powell of Oakdale, Gary (Kim) Yordy of Simpsonville, SC, Karen (John) Roberts of Bulger; grandchildren, Krista (Dave) Fahnestock, Lori (Bryan), Catola, Devin (Autumn) Powell, Shannon Powell, Zachary and Kayla Yordy, Chelsie (Nick) Phillis and Jake Roberts. HAVER KATHLEEN D. “KATHY” Of Monroeville, on April 10, 2017, passed away at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph. She had four children, Denise (Matt Ferry), Michael (Debra), Christopher (Sharon) and Mary Jo (Jon Springer). Also survived by her sister, Susan (Joe) Deet; and her brother-in-law, Edward (Bonnie) Haver. Her pride and joy were her ten grandchildren, Nicholas, Alex, Jacob, Sam, Ryan, Sean, Rachel, Andrew, Ben and Alexa. She was an active Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph and was a member of the Ladies of Charity at St. Bernadette Church. Her hobbies included being an active participant in the Stitching Angels at North America Martyrs Parish and Comfort Quilts at St. Bernadette Parish. A graduate of Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh, she practiced as a Pediatric Nurse and loved her profession. A very spiritual woman, Kathy was a very special person to all she met and will be missed by all. Her smile was her calling card. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the GENE H. D'Alessandro; loving mother of Robert (Mary Ann) D'Alessandro, Cassandra (David) Ward, Tamara (Joseph) Peluso and the late Victor D'Alessandro (the late Denise); beloved sister of Agnes Sowinski and the late Joseph, Jacob and Thomas Sowinski, Eleanor Cuskey, Helen Frost, Amelia Miller, Jenny Sowinski and Elizabeth Turzai; also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great -great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary worked at Consumer Produce Terminal during WWII, the job she liked the most was at St. Margaret's cafeteria where she worked for eight years. MULRONEY ANTHONY Age 71, of Shaler, on Friday, April 7, 2017, peacefully at West Penn Hospital Hospice. He is survived by his sister Monica (Mulroney) Smetanka. Tony was preceded in death by both his parents, Thomas and Anne Mulroney, his siblings, Thomas Mulroney, Joseph Mulroney and Ellen (Mulroney) Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends. Tony was born in Dublin, Ireland and came to Pittsburgh when he was 15. Tony was an active member of AA and volunteered his services at the Allegheny County Jail. He will be fondly remembered for his humorous stories and his dry Irish wit. No visitation. BATES CHARLES E. Age 53, of Sewickley, passed away unexpectedly, on April 7, 2017, in his home. He was born in Aliquippa, on January 14, 1964, a son of Charles A. Bates and the late Nancy (Taylor) MacFarland. He is survived by his father, Charles A. (Paula) Bates; his son, Jesse C. Bates; his sister, Lisa M. Petrick; stepfather, Bob MacFarland; uncles, Ed (Chris) Bates, John (Julie) Taylor; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion, Kim Moslen. Chuck was a master craftsman and worked construction all his life. He owned Bates Construction for many years. His faith was also very important to him, he loved Jesus. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
