LOADMAN BETTY MARIE “ELIZABETH...

LOADMAN BETTY MARIE “ELIZABETH” She has now become one of the stars in the firmament of heaven, passing into a beautiful new life on November 16, 2017. Our beloved mother, age 99, of Carrick, and recently of ManorCare in Whitehall, was a role model for our family and an extraordinary woman of intelligence, kindness, strength, and beauty from the inside out. We are thankful for her love, prayers, and the Godly lessons she taught us. She was the cherished wife of the late William Earl Loadman, together they celebrated 68 golden years of marriage. They became even closer in their senior years as Bill became her helpmate in every situation. Her children praised her name, Jeanne (Harold) Loadman Booth, William (Gail) Loadman II, and Thomas (Patti) Loadman. She is the beloved grandmother of David (Patty) Booth, Heather (Tony) Booth Moody, William Loadman III, Kevin (Jen) Loadman, Michael Loadman, Katie (Justin) Loadman Latore, and Samantha Loadman. Her legacy includes nine great-grandchildren, Justin and Amanda Booth, Ryan and Luke Moody, Grayson Latore, Kaitlyn Loadman, Will and Elizabeth Loadman, and the late Naomi Loadman. She was the oldest sibling in the Elsie and Joseph Lingenfelser family. Betty, Gaye, Bud, and Ona were shining examples of a happy and loving foursome - the three sisters and a brother supported each other through good times and bad. They made every occasion special because of their melodic singing, piano playing, and guitar music. Betty is survived by her youngest sister, Leona Lingenfelser Hughes. Their strong foundation of caring inspires every generation oof our family. Our mother was self confident, but down to earth - never arrogant. She believed there wasn't a job she couldn't learn to do, and she did so many things well. She loved to host Sunday night dinners for her family with roast beef, mashed potatoes, and the best peach and lemon meringue pies you ever tasted. She could paint a room, reupholster a sofa and chair, and design and sew dresses. She was an accomplished pianist and church organist and choir director at Redeemer Lutheran Church for 30 years. What's more important is that she made every person in the choir and in her life feel special. She had wonderful people skills and could be the life of the party with her bubbly sense of humor that went along with hosting their annual New Year's Eve parties for 50 years. Betty and her daughter, Jeanne performed in a show called That's Entertainment for 24 memorable years. Music was the special bond that glued their heart and soul together. She also was the director of a biblical women's fashion show that performed over 1,000 times in 15 years called Fashion for Followers. It was important to her to share the gospel, and also to enjoy great fun with 15 church lady friends. She was always busy and creative, she volunteered at a personal care home in Wilkinsburg twice a month for 10 years, playing the piano, directing a merry sing along, and sharing her funny stories with the residents. Many of these elderly folks had few people to visit them, so they were delighted when Betty walked into the room. She was truly a ray of sunshine! She was very active in the Brentwood chapter of the order of Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron in 1964/1965, and was given a lifetime membership. She was also the musician at Eastern Star events, and became a good friend to all. Above all, she was kind and caring, a beautiful woman who lived by the golden rule. She truly treated people as we would like to be treated. She endured a 20 year affliction of dementia, with a sense of grace and peacefulness. She was a tower of strength! She liked to keep busy, so she is probably in heaven organizing a new choir or painting some clouds pink! Thank you, our beloved mother for shining your light upon us and showing us how to love one another. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 15227, Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Bethesda Children's Home, 15487 State Highway 86, Meadville, PA 16335.
