HERSHBERGER GARY LEE Gary Lee Hershberger, age 67 of Canonsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. He was born January 18, 1950, a son of the late Myles and Lois Hershberger. He was the loving husband for 43 years to Denise E. (Baker) Hershberger; beloved father of Jennifer Brown, Gregory (Ricci) Hershberger, Amanda (Thomas) Barnhart and the late Leigh Anne Hershberger; grandfather of Michael, Noah, Thomas, Emmie, Ashlynn, Beau, Christian and Dakota. BEYER THOMAS E. On Monday, December 4, 2017, age 83, of Zelienople, formerly of Ellwood City and Middlesex Twp., born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 5, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Maude Jones Beyer. Tom had been a salesman for AMP Company and most recently worked for the Cranberry Auto Auction. He served in the United States Army and had been a member of Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church in Glade Mills. Surviving is his sister, Neverta Frye of Fox Chapel; his three sons, Thomas J. Beyer (Amy J.) of Middlesex Twp., Timothy B. Beyer of Cocoa Bach, FL, and Aaron Beyer of Durango, CO; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Beyer; and his siblings, Cathryn, Dolly, Margaret, Jack and Charles. Tom grew up the youngest of six siblings in Twin Willows flats in the 40's. He often spoke of his happy days at the local roller rink and area pool. He excelled at diving and actually perfected a corkscrew dive all his own! He was an exceptional athlete lettering four years at Mars High and continuing to play during his army career. Later in life, he received many awards for his competitive skating passion. Tom's love for dancing was well known and he could whisk even a girl with “two left feet” around the floor with ease. He was a likeable fellow who enjoyed many good friends and family who cherished all his fun-loving ways. It is most definite that he is smiling down from heaven as he waltzes with the angels. DONGWECK ALICE M. Age 93, of Oakdale, formerly of Murrysville passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born April 30, 1924, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth McCoy Tenner. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul B. Dongweck in 2006; a grandson, Nick Clute; a brother, Andrew Tenner, Jr.; and a sister, Marguerite Kustes. Prior to retirement, Alice was a Claims Clerk for the Pennsylvania Unemployment Department. She also was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Regina (Eric) Boonstra of Oakdale; two sons, Paul, Jr. (Debbie) Dongweck of Lisle, NY and Bruce (Michele) Dongweck of Murrysville; six grandchildren, Amy, Shannon, Nicole, Dana, Andrea and Brittany; 12 great- grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Tenner of Lubbock, TX. SWEENEY KATHLEEN Of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born on March 9, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA to Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (LaVelle) Sweeney. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing and was dedicated to the nursing profession for over 40 years, working in hospitals in Pittsburgh and Southwestern Florida. Kathy was a caring, loving, and generous person who touched many people's lives with her kindness. She had a tenacious personality and loved spending time with her many friends and family, especially on the beautiful beaches of Southwest FL. She was also an inspiration to all who knew her as she met her numerous medical challenges with dignity, determination and courage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her brothers, Lawrence Sweeney and wife, Lee, of Seattle, WA, Daniel Sweeney of Pittsburgh, PA; and sister, Karen Sweeney Barkley and husband, Ray, of Uniontown, PA. VINGIN HELEN L. (LUNSFORD) Age 85, of Plum, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Jameson Care Center, New Castle after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late William E. Vingin who died in 2002. They had been married for 52 years before his death. She was born in Oakmont, PA to her parents the late John "Walt" Lunsford and Elizabeth Uria Derreberry. She graduated from Oakmont High School. Surviving are her children, William K. (Deborah) Vingin of Lower Burrell, PA and Cathy L. (James) Clover of New Wilmington, PA. She had four grandchildren, Beth Ann Vingin (Jeremy) Weiland of Sarver, PA, Bryne C. Clover (George) Kumi of Vorhees, NJ, Jeffrey (Danielle) Vingin of Manor, PA and Alyson Clover and fiancé John Koenig of Oakland, PA; and two step-grandchildren, Nicole (Vincent) Huck and Joshua (Eileen) Graham of Trafford, PA; she had four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Connor Weiland and Charlotte and Josephine Kumi; and step-great-grandchildren, Eli Huck, Camille, Christa, Caleigh and Chloe Graham. Born on July 2, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son the late Mary and Lorenzo Antonelli. Beloved husband to Bernadette Kuhn Antonelli for 63 years. Visitation at WOLFE MEMORIAL, INC., FOREST HILLS CHAPEL, 3604 Greensburg Pike, 412-731- 5001, Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills.
