VAYDA GEORGE EDWARD AND OLGA A. PAVLIK Olga A. Vayda, age 87, of Ross Township, on Sunday, February 18, 2018, followed three days later by her loving husband, George E. Vayda, age 93, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 after 65 years of marriage. Parents of Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Vayda and his wife, Anna of Lubbock, TX and Leslie Ann McKinney and her husband, Kevin of Evans City; grandparents of Ryan Vayda and Nathan, Haley and Logan McKinney. George also survived by his brother, Andrew Robert Vayda in Florida. Olga was a homemaker and George was a graduate of Robert Morris University and was an accountant for Pittsburgh Brewing Company and the State of Pennsylvania. They were members of Berkley Hills Lutheran Church. Olga had been in the Eastern Star and George was a 32nd Degree Mason. George also served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Jason was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all aspects of his life. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. PELKOFER LINDA A. Age 78, of Shaler Twp., died peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She is survived by her dedicated husband, Fred M. Pelkofer, Jr.; children, Doug F. (Cindy) Pelkofer, Sandy (the late Henry) Mordoh, and Rick (Marla) Pelkofer; and grandchildren, Sydney, Madison, Garrett, Gracie, Lauren, Nicole, Matthew, Angela, and Doug; she was daughter of the late Lloyd and Leona Adams; and sister of the late Edward “Herk” (survived by wife, Lorraine) Adams. Linda was known for her caring and kind spirit. Her smile brightened up every room and moved those around her. Her passion of golfing with her husband and cooking for her children embodied her love for her family. Linda was a 1958 graduate of St Augustine High School in Lawrenceville. KILKEARY SISTER MARY COLEMAN, S.C. Age 100, died at Caritas Christi, the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in Greensburg on February 20, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, she entered the Sisters of Charity on March 25, 1934, from Resurrection Parish, Brookline. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sara (Keenan) Kilkeary, three brothers, Joseph, James and John, and a sister, Sister Ann Agnes, SC, she is survived by nieces and nephews. An elementary school teacher and principal, Sister Mary Coleman taught in the Pittsburgh Diocese at St. Kieran, St. Luke, and Holy Innocent Schools. She was principal at St. James School, Wilkinsburg, and vice principal at Resurrection School in Brookline. Her other assignments included teaching in Altoona, Scottsdale, AZ, and Lakewood, CA. In 1976, she began working in the Treasurer's Office of the Sisters of Charity as an insurance clerk and as administrator of the congregation's social security and PACE programs. Well-loved for her generosity and dry wit, Sister Mary Coleman retired to Caritas Christi, the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity in 1999, where she continued to volunteer her services. He was born October 21, 1925, in Monongahela, PA, son of the late George H. and Daisy Glenn. He was also preceded in death by a son, Donald J. Glenn; two sisters, Althea Johnston and Dolores Gee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Glenn; son, David Glenn (Joan) of Elkton, MD; and daughter, Karen Holler (Rob) of Trafford; grandchildren, Robert Holler, Brody, Derrick and Kaitlyn Glenn; great-grandchildren, Madyson and Robbie Holler; and also nieces and nephews. Beloved wife of Gilio John DaPra for 66 years; loving mother of Diane (Jeffrey) Pierrard, Annette (Bobby) Lewis, Dennis (Lisa) DaPra, the late Carla Morasca and Daniel DaPra; proud grandmother of Jenna, Emily, RJ, Chelsey, Luca, Amber, Gabriella, Gianna, Celena, and Isabella; treasured daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Ferraro; caring sister of Joan Shine, the late Frances Zacchero, Joseph Ferraro, and Raymond Ferraro. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Theresa was the past toastmistress of the Peters Township Century Club. She was also a member of the Monday Evening Women's Club in Canonsburg and was in the choir at St. Benedict the Abbot Church. Theresa enjoyed bowling and playing bridge with all her friends. She will be remembered for her Catholic faith, caring nature, being a superb cook, and love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
