HANEY MARY LOU Age 88, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Haney grew up in Haywood, WV. She was a graduate of Lumberport High School, where she was the valedictorian, and then graduated from Fairmont State College, majoring in Education. She taught elementary school at Fairmont and Clarksburg, WV. She and her husband of 56 years were involved in politics in the Republican party and she was the first vice president of the Republican Women's Club. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Curtis Haney (Brenda) of Arab; niece, Linda Lehman (David) of Syracuse, NY; and several great-nephews. KNAPP JUDITH "JILL" Age 77, of Ligonier, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian. She was born on October 10, 1940, in Plainfield, N.J., a daughter of the late, Leonard and Kathlyn Heaume Mundy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard G. LaBar and a son, Adam LaBar. Jill is survived by her husband William Skip Knapp; two sons, Jeffrey (Jennifer) LaBar of California and James (Julie) LaBar of Murrysvile; five grandchildren; a brother, David (Donna) Mundy, and a sister, Linda (Robert) Porcarro. Jill was known for her ability to put everyone at ease and always thought of others before herself. Family and friends were her life's greatest treasure. Her inner peace, strength, confidence, humor, and happiness had a calming, loving effect upon those around her throughout her life. It's very special and rare to have shared life with someone that accepted everyone with open arms, with unconditional love and who made life and this world a better place, she will always be missed. FELLER DR. ROBERT L. On Thursday, August 2, 2018, Dr. Robert L. Feller. Born on December 27, 1919 in Linden, New Jersey, he was the only child of William H. and Edna Buchelew Feller; he is survived by a niece, Dr. Barbara A. Kammer and the late Dr. James F. Kammar; as well as cousins and great nephews; his beloved wife, Ruth Johnston Feller, preceded him in death. His life-long love of painting began in childhood. As a student at Dartmouth College he contributed his drawings to the Jack-O-Lantern (a student comic publication), becoming the art editor his senior year. Graduate School at Rutgers was interrupted by serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He completed his PhD in organic chemistry in 1950 at Rutgers prior to establishing a research lab at Mellon Institute with the support of the National Gallery of Art and the Mellon Foundation. Dr Feller's long career of research in this lab, focusing on evaluation of artist's paints, papers and varnishes, led to over 100 publications, some of which were republished in 2002 in a collection edited by Paul M. Whitmore entitled Contributions to Conservation Science. He received the Robert L. Feller Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011 in Philadelphia given by the American Institute of Conservation. His love of painting remained through his lifetime. While his work took him over much of the world, he would find time to paint while there. The results are treasures to many. Dr. Feller will be remembered as a modest, kind and humble man, loved by many, as well as for his many contributions to establish the science of the restoration and preservation of art objects worldwide. FEDOREK HARRY L. Age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 28, 2018. Devoted son of the late Steve and Charlotte Fedorek, beloved husband of 59 years of Doris M. Volzer Fedorek; cherished father of Harry P. (Sharon Zola), Scott (Sheila Maaghul) and Beth; dear brother of Arthur (Toni); loving uncle of Roch, Adele, Celeste and Todd. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved raising the best tomatoes in Pittsburgh to share with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching baseball, bowling, sharing his plumbing knowledge and tinkering in his shop to find creative ways to fix just about anything. He spent nearly 65 years in the plumbing industry, from running his own business, working as an Allegheny County plumbing inspector, teaching night school, and finally by advising friends and neighbors with their plumbing problems. Harry was also a 50 year parishioner of St. Norbert Church, a Syria Shriner and member of Avalon Lodge 657. But above all else, Harry was devoted to his family. He put them first his entire life. He was a generous and caring man, and went out of his way to help anyone in need. No public visitation. Family kindly request no flowers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Church on Saturday, August 11, at 10:30 a.m., 3189 Schieck Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15227. HONEYCUTT BARBARA A. Age 67, of North Point Breeze, on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She is survived by her partner, Christine Gaus; her sisters, Phyllis Collins and Darlene Smith both of Vicksburg, MS, and Nellie Devore of Charlotte, NC; she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Honeycutt and Catherine Mackey, and her sister, Elizabeth Dain Honeycutt. Barbara was a proud member of the Carpenters Local 165 and was one of the first women to join the Union.
