Beloved husband of 46 years to Dolly Dellroso Vollmer; loving father of David (Sondra) Vollmer and Kristen (Chuck) Luffey; utterly devoted Pap Pap to Andrew, Elizabeth, and Ben Vollmer, and Chase and Charleigh Luffey; brother to Ken (Kathy) Vollmer. Ralph was a dedicated UPS Driver for over 30 years on Brownsville Rd. After retirement, he devoted all of his time to his grandchildren, the Food Bank, and Meals on Wheels. DaDAMO MARTHA (ZAHORCHAK) Age 79, formerly of Plum, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015, after a long struggle with COPD and CHF. She was born November 7, 1935, in East Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Michael and Erma (Bakara) Zahorchak. Martha had retired from Westinghouse. In addition to her parents, Martha was predeceased by two brothers, Tom Zahorchak and Father Michael Zahorchak; and a sister, Rita Zahorchak. She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Kyle) Hambleton; and a son, Sam (Joan) DaDamo. Her greatest joy was being Nan to Anthony (fiancée Stephanie) DaDamo, Nick DaDamo, Justin (Shawna) Hambleton and Lucas Hambleton; three great- grandchildren; loving siblings, Marie (late Bill) Garofolo and Francis (late Cheryl) Zahorchak. By the family's request, there will be no visitation. A private Memorial Blessing Service will be held at a later date for the family. BUDD LARRY WILLIAM Age 74, of Ross Twp., died October 8, 2015, at ManorCare Health Services, North Hills. He was born on January 25, 1941, in Millersburg, Holmes County, Ohio to the late William George and Twila (Hawkins) Budd, and married Joanne May Hopkins on July 6, 2009, she survives. Larry retired from Allegheny County Port Authority Transit where he was a bus mechanic for 30 years. He was a member of Avalon Lodge No. 657 F&AM, was Past Monarch of Islam Grotto in Pittsburgh and a dual member of Aut Mori Grotto in Youngstown, OH. He was Past President of the Pennsylvania Grotto Association in 2001 and Past President of the Ohio Grotto Association in 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William Eugene Budd; two stepsons, Richard S. and Damon S. Hopkins (Hope); a brother, Donald Eugene Budd (Nancy); four step-grandchildren, Barbara Joan, Brad Charles, Christopher James and Michael Steven Ray Hopkins.; two nieces, Bonnie Taylor and Becky Kramer; also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-niece and great-great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, and great-nephew. BAUMAN EDWARD CHARLES Age 81, of Venice, FL, passed away on October 12, 2015. He was born in Wilkinsburg, PA on October 6, 1934. Ed graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and attended Penn State University for two years. He worked for the Borough of Wilkinsburg for over 33 years. As a professional firefighter for ten of those years, he was a driver and then lieutenant and instructor. From there he moved to administration as Director of Code Enforcement where he designed an internal organizational system to improve the efficiency of the department. He improved the community by working for removal of blighted buildings, creating community block gatherings for the beautification and unity of the community. He was also responsible for overseeing hospital and several apartment complex developments. With the Chamber of Commerce he worked to upgrade the central business district. Ed was Interim Borough Manager, cumulatively for three years, providing strong support to uphold an extremely diverse community. Bauman was later Borough Manager of Braddock, PA for three years. He was able to improve a very economically depressed community by strong, carefully monitored budgetary means. Throughout his entire career, he was highly respected by the public for his honesty, fairness, and sincere desire to help others. Ed was a member of the Masonic Lodge #635, Pittsburgh and was a 32nd degree Mason. He also belonged to the Wilkinsburg, PA Elks and Rotonda Elks #2170. He was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church for over 30 years and then Community Presbyterian Church from 1998, to present in Englewood, FL. Ed is survived by his wife, Lee; two children, Edward Keith Bauman and Michelle Lynn Gardner; and two grandchildren, Clifton and Rachael Gardner. Ed adored his children and was greatly loved by his family. He will be remembered especially for his love of the outdoors, as a true "man of nature," a camper and a hunter. He always appreciated the peacefulness of nature and felt most at home when he was among the trees. A Memorial Service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Presbyterian Church. FISHER BARBARA M. On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Barbara Elizabeth Ann Mumford Fisher, born in Southport, England, daughter of Elizabeth Alice Charleton and Bryant Mumford, came to the United States in 1941, with other English children, to escape the bombing of London. Barbara attended the University of Maryland, where she met Richard B. Fisher whom she married in 1949. Barbara was mother to four daughters and three sons and countless others have also basked in her warmth and regard and been inspired by her devotion to God, her family and friends, her constant love of learning, dancing and life. Barbara will be deeply missed by Richard and their children, Susan Fisher, Bryant and his wife, Becky Fisher, Mark and his wife, Olivia Fisher, Alison Fisher Steel and husband, Don Steel, John Fisher and his wife, Diane, Betsy Fisher Albaugh and her husband, Lyle, Grace Fisher Kruszynski and husband, Steve. ZORN MARCELLA (HARTWIG) “SIS” Age 90, of Brookline, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015, while surrounded by family, at Mon-Valley Hospital. Every day for 30 years, Sis rode the PAT bus from Brookline to downtown Pittsburgh, where she worked as a sales associate at Kaufmann's and, later, Macy's. She took tremendous pride in her work and recounted fondly her adventures in customer service and public transportation. She loved her family deeply, even when she got laryngitis. A devout Catholic, she attended the Church of the Resurrection for as long as she was able. In the end, Marcella was of sound mind and sharp wit, and her physical ailments were relieved when she was called, after 30 years, to join her beloved husband, the late Frederick G. Zorn. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Agnes and son-in-law, Mark Kampert of Smithfield, PA; her grandsons, Mark, Matthew and Frederick, of whom she was immensely proud; her great-grandson, Lucas, whom she adored; her youngest brother, Roy Hartwig of Bellevue, PA; and her many nieces and nephews.
