SANDRA "SANDY" NICASSIO Age 69, of Plum Boro, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, after a three year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She is survived by her children, Anthony (Christy) of Gibsonia, Mark (Chrissy) of Pittsburgh, Christina of Plum Boro; and her grandchildren, Tony and Joey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Anthony J. Nicassio M.D. Sandy worked as a Realtor with Northwood Realty, but her reputation went far beyond just her occupation. Sandy's zest for life was readily apparent as she seized every opportunity to live life to its fullest! Sandy had an appreciation for fashion, home decor and travel. Her enthusiasm for shopping (especially at Chico's and Home Goods) and keen sense of style were her trademarks. She loved to travel to the beach and feel the warm sun on her face while enjoying the company of her dear friends and loved ones. She was a fantastic cook who technically did not like to cook; however, she did love bringing her family together and no one could resist her food. Sandy went above and beyond to provide the most elaborate holidays for her family, filled with beautiful decorations (five Christmas trees!!), delicious meals and most importantly unmeasurable love. Providing amazing memories for her kids and grandsons meant everything. To say she will be missed as a loving mother, nana, aunt, cousin, friend, etc. is an understatement to just how amazing she was. The biggest gift she left behind was to demonstrate love through her actions rather than just words. Generous, loving and selfless are just a few of the traits that made countless friends feel like family. Her circle of loved ones created an army of support to help her fight cancer, and her children will be forever grateful. Sandy was the strongest woman her family and friends ever knew. Her resilience, both mentally and physically left her family and friends in awe. She will forever be missed but we'll be comforted by the fond memories she left behind. May she rest in peace with her husband Tony at the beach. The family held a private viewing and funeral service, followed by entombment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hillman Cancer Center, 5320 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232. GRACE FASCETTI Age 88, born July 17, 1931, from Johnstown, Brookline, most recently Bethel Park. Loving daughter of the late Rose McClendon and Anthony Gangemi. Sister to Frank McClendon and the late Jennifer Gangemi. Former Spouse of Charles Fascetti, Mother to Debbie (Dan) Mancuso, Chuck Fascetti, Cindy (Barry) Rack, Tina (Tom) DeLorenzo, and her late son Robert Fascetti. Grandmother to Danny (Carey) Mancuso, Chaz (Chrissy) Fascetti, Justin (Mallery) Fascetti, Jordan (Lori) Fascetti, Anthony Rack, Christina Zeuger, Candice (Maura) Fascetti, & Mauro DeLorenzo. Great-grandmother of Josh, Julia, Bella, Cameron, Mya, Adriana, & Daughtry. Grace took pride in her family and her work. Her most accomplished position was HR for Kopper's supporting thousands of employees. She loved making her porcelain dolls, her politics and spending time with her family. Grace left us peacefully with her family surrounding her. She loved the Lord and would discuss with him nightly how she was not ready to come home yet. We looked at her as a source of strength. When we forgot our self worth, she reminded us. If we made a mistake, she'd be the first one to check us. If we were sad, she reminded us that we came from a long line of strong and resilient women that knew how to pick themselves up and handle it. But most importantly, she rejoiced in all of our successes as if they were her own constantly reminding us how far we have come and how far she knows we can go. Our biggest cheerleader and supporter. How lucky our family was to have such a woman that loved us so much and was able to be so many things to us. A Private Service will be on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, Scott Twp. (412-563-2800) with a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
